Desert Safari A trip to the inland sea, in the middle of the desert, is a splendid way to spend the day. Our private tours are half-day desert safari, full day desert safari and overnight desert safari and all tours are custom designed to your timeframe, needs and budget. The desert safari is probably one of the most unusual tours where you will discover some unforgettable landscapes of the mysterious desert. Desert safari is undertaken in an adequately equipped 4 WD vehicles by equally talented Qatari guides. Our camps are equipped with Bedouin style tents, carpeted with traditional seating, separate wash room/toilet for ladies and gents and sweet water for shower. Water and soft drinks are served in all of the tours. Half Day Desert Safari Time : 9:00am-1:00pm ‘or’ 2:00pm–6:00pm Refreshment : Mineral water and soft drinks Additional Activity : Camel ride You will be picked up from your designated pick up point and driven 75 km south of Doha with a brief stop at Sealine Beach Resort, Measaeed. This is where we abandon the tarmac for the sand dunes; our professional drivers will deflate the tyres to make the vehicle ready for the dune bashing and your breathtaking roller-coaster drive across the desert and over the sand dunes begins. There are different paths through the dunes, from an extreme ride – fast and bumpy to a smooth and casual route. The drive will take you to the the marvels of the inland sea (Khor al Udied) near the Qatar-Saudi Arabian border and back. There will be two stops during the journey for taking pictures.
